Air Fried Brussels Sprouts
The Ninja Foodi has made my life so much easier and that’s an understatement! Gone are the days of roasting veggies in the oven for what seems like an eternity. All I can say is, I’m looking forward to a Thanksgiving this year where I’m not spending half the day in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
This air fried brussels sprouts recipe that I’m now sharing with you has been the subject of much trial and error in my attempts to make the perfect sprouts. Hope you like it!
Ingredients:
1 lb brussels sprouts (cut in halves)
1/2 tsp of garlic powder or 3 cloves fresh garlic
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Avocado oil spray
1 tsp sriracha (or hot sauce of your choice)
1 tsp honey
1 cup water for pressure cooking
How to:
- Wash the sprouts and cut each piece in half. If you bought the pre-cut halves, even better
- Pat dry with a paper towel
- In a small bowl, mix all seasonings together with the exception of the hot sauce and honey
- Assemble the pressure cooker lid. Pour 1 cup of water into the Ninja pot. Pour sprouts into the air fryer basket. Place valve to seal and pressure cook the sprouts on high for 1 minute. Trust me, this is plenty
- Once pressure cooking is complete, switch valve to vent and allow for all pressure to be released before carefully removing the lid.
- Sprinkle the seasonings on the sprouts with your fingers or a tsp. If you’ve made too much, use your judgement when sprinkling. Sprinkle on salt and pepper to taste
- Spray with avocado oil and set air crisp setting to 400 temp and 14 mins. Make sure to check and stir every 4-5 mins
- In a separate bowl, mix the honey and hot sauce together
- When 14 mins is done, add in the hot sauce and honey mixture
- Air fry for 1 minute or until desired crispiness is reached
- Feel free to add a bit more hot sauce on top as in the above pic
Enjoy!
